Warlick Breaks Program Record As Pacers Take Down Brevard

BREVARD, NC - William Peace University men's lacrosse defeated the Brevard College Tornados by a score 20-5. Brewer Warlick set a new program record for goals in a single game with 8 goals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pacers would get on the board early in the first period as Nick Falso would put the team up 1-0. Riely Murray would add two consecutive goals, one assisted by Falso, to give the Pacers a 3-0 lead. Brewer Warlick would score his first of 8 goals just 4 minutes in, assisted by Drew Von Werne, to give the Pacers a 4-0 lead. He would add his second and third, assisted by Devin Noonan and Nick Falso, just a few minutes later for a score of 6-0. Riely Murray would keep up the Pacer momentum as he found the back of the net to bring the score to 7-0. The Tornados would score on the man-up to bring the score to 7-1 heading into the second period.

Warlick would again find the back of the net, assisted by Tristan Carter, just moments into the 2nd for a 8-1 score. Nick Falso would add another on the man-up, assisted by Riely Murray, for a 9-1 lead. The Tornados would respond to cut the lead to 9-2, with the rest of the period going back-and-forth as Daniel Ando and Devin McCarragher made some good saves for their respective teams, sending the game into halftime with a score of 9-2.

Drew Von Werne would put the Pacers up 10-2 early in the third before adding an assist on a man-up goal for Brewer Warlick for a score of 11-2. Riely Murray would add his fourth to put the Pacers up by 10, but Brevard would respond on the man-up with a goal from Andrew McDonald for a score of 12-3. The Tornados would battle back, scoring on another man-up and then late in the third to cut the Pacer lead to 12-5 heading into the 4th.

Brewer Warlick would notch two consecutive goals early in the 4th to extend the Pacer lead to 14-5, with one goal being assisted by William Murray. Nick Falso would continue to dominate on the Pacers' man-up opportunities, finding the back of the net on an assist from Drew Von Werne for a 15-5 lead. Devin Noonan would find Brewer Warlick who would put it away for his 8th goal - a new program record - and a 16-5 lead. Nick Falso and Tristan Carter would score just 14 seconds apart for an 18-5 Pacer lead. Devin Noonan and Nick Falso (assist Patrick Calhoun) would add the final two goals of the game to secure a 20-5 Pacer win.
