HOW IT HAPPENED
Baylee Womack and
Kyra Delaney would both get a few good chances early in the first half, but keeper Anyka Wilkin would keep them off the scoresheet. At 29:48, Vanessa Alfaro-Young would send one into the top corner to put the Fighting Squirrels up 1-0, assisted by Morgan Martin. The Pacers would keep up the pressure and
Raine Greene would tie it 1-1 at 42:03 on a breakaway.
In the second half, the Fighting Squirrels would increase the pressure on the Pacers and get their own breakaway at 61:17, which Quierra Hawkins would take advantage of to put Mary Baldiwn up 2-1. The Pacers would get a few more good chances at the end of the half but the Fighting Squirrels would come up with the 2-1 win.
