Philipp Scores 5 As Pacers Roll Past Wildcats

Raleigh, NC -- William Peace University men's lacrosse defeated the Randolph Wildcats by a score of 13-3. Freshman Scout Philipp tallied 5 goals in the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Pacers would get on the board early in the first period, as Scout Philipp would find the back of the net at 11:27, assisted by Nick Falso. Finn McGrady would cause a turnover and catch Riely Murray, who would put one in to bring the score to 2-0 to end the first period.
  • Scout Philipp would tally his second of the night a few minutes into the second period to bring the score to 3-0. He would follow that up with an assist on Devin Noonan's goal as the Pacers went heavy on the attack to lead 4-0.
  • The Pacers would start the third period with some heavy momentum, with Scout Phillip notching two and Brewer Warlick scoring on within the first three minutes. August Bynum would assist on two of those goals. Warlick would pick up another just moments later, as Cade McGrady's shot would hit the crossbar but Warlick would capitalize on the momentum to give the Pacers an 8-0 lead. The Wildcats would get their first of the night at 7:33, with Scout Philipp adding another with 2:45 left as the Pacers led 9-1. Randolph would add another in the high-scoring third period as they trailed 9-2.
  • The Wildcats would tally a goal just 40 seconds into the fourth period in what would be their final scoring play of the night. Brewer Warlick would add his third of the night, with Nick Falso scoring on the man-up to bring the score to 11-3. Warlick and Riely Murray would add two final goals for the Pacers to clinch a 13-3 win.

  • Matthew Piascik, Jake Helsley, and Lee Tookes each tallied a goal for the Wildcats.
