RALEIGH, NC -- The William Peace University women's tennis team competed against Methodist University on February 24th where they fell by a score of 6-1. Freshman Camryn Straughn picked up her first collegiate victory as she defeated Methodist's Natalie Collins.

Women's Singles Competition

4. Hannah Higgins (MU) def. Kayleigh Kotofsky (WPU) 6-0, 6-0
5. Sydney Bird (MU) def. Kayla Lynch-McLain 6-0, 6-0

Women's Doubles Competition
1. Valeria Matute/Natalie Collins (MU) def. Tia Silva/Hayley McNair (WPU) 8-7 (7-2 tie breaker)
2. Hannah Higgins/Allyson Hayes (MU) def. Camryn Straughn/Kayleigh Kotofsky (WPU) 8-5
