Pacers Break 7 Records In Season Opener

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA -- William Peace University men's and women's swimming started off the season with a 138-86 win for the men and a second place finish for the women against Virginia Wesleyan University. The Pacers will now head to UNC Pembroke on November 6th. The Pacers broke 7 records in the meet, with Jasseli Gutierrez breaking the school record in every event she swam in. Sophia Swenson and Elijah Horman also broke individual school records, while the Men's 400 Relay (Elijah Horman, Trey Stroud, Joseph Williams, and Dallas Russell) and the Women's 200 Free Relay (Sophia Swenson, Alessia Brack, Jasseli Gutierrez, and Alexis Inman) also posted new school records.
