The Basics:

How it Happened:

• Tre Galligan put the Pacers on the board early in the first period after a great pass from Brewer Warlick as the Pacers took the early 1-0 lead.

• Everett Barger and Zane Abbott would score back to back goals 8 seconds apart to give the Pirates the 2-1 lead.Jared Walsh would extend the Pirates lead to 3-1 with under ten minutes left in the first.

• The Pacers with goals from Dalton Albright and Walker Rice (man-up) tied the game at 3-3. Towards the end of the first period Rice would find the back of the net to give the Pacers a 4-3.

• With under two minutes the Pirates went on the offensive and scored three unanswered goals to end the period up by a score of 6-4.

• To start the second period the Pirates would pick up where the left off as Jared Welsh extended their lead to 7-4.

• Adrian Brown answered with a rip from about 20 yards out to cut the Pirates lead to two.

• Southwestern had an answer of their own as they scored four straight goals to give them an 11-5 lead with under five minutes left.

• Tre Galligan scored the last goal of the half for the Pacers. Southwestern scored their last goal of the half with under one minute left to give them a halftime lead of 12 to 6.

• The third quarter saw 14 goals between the two teams, Southwestern came up with 10 of the 14 goals and extend their lead to 22-10.

• Walker Rice would score the lone goal for the Pacers in the fourth period but it would not be enough as Southwestern added three more goals to secure a 26-11 victory.
