Holly Springs, NC -- The William Peace University men's lacrosse team played their first home game of their inaugural season, defeating Wabash College 11-7. The Pacers now improve to a record of (2-4).
Wabash would take an early 2-0 lead over WPU in the first period with Tucker Dixon scoring both goals. Anthony Florian would cut the Wabash lead in half at 8:24, with Austin Abourjilie tying it up 2-2 two minutes later. Nick Falso would again tie it up 3-3 in the second period after an early Wabash goal, scoring another goal 30 seconds later for a 4-3 Pacer lead. Abourjilie and Florian would both add another goal each in the first half, while Kyle Spain would score on the extra-man opportunity to send the Pacers into halftime leading 7-3.
Falso and Abourjilie Record Hat Tricks for the Pacers
Nick Falso would record a hat trick at 11:51 in the third for an 8-3 Pacer lead, while Austin Abourjilie would also record a hat trick for the Pacers in the fourth period to give the Pacers a 10-6 lead. A goal from Dalton Albright would give WPU an 11-6 lead, while Nick Shelton made 12 saves in net to secure the 11-7 Pacer victory.
