Brevard, NC -- The William Peace University Men's Lacrosse team fell to the Brevard Tornados by a score of 16-9.
In the first quarter the Tornados came out and were able to score 6 unanswered goals in the first quarter to lead 6-0 heading into the second quarter. Brevard would also score the first goal of the second quarter. It was Dalton Albright who got the Pacers on the score sheet with a goal assisted by Nick Falso. Anthony Florian got the second Pacer goal followed by a goal from Austin Abourjilie. In the first half the Pacers would have multiple opportunities with 16 total shots in two quarters with 10 of them being shots on goal.Heading into halftime Brevard led William Peace 9-3.
In the second half, the Pacers gave up the first two goals, but answered with a pair of their own. Anthony Florian scored the fourth goal for the Pacers and Nick Falso with the fifth. Brevard would go on another run scoring three more goals making the score 13-5. Nick Falso answered for the Pacers to make it 13-6. Austin Abourjilie and Dalton Albright scored a goal each to make the score 14-7. Michael Meley would score the final goal of the day for the Pacers. Brevard keeper Xza Holmes-Copeland would hold the Pacers and end the game with 12 saves. WPU keeper Nick Shelton had 8 saves on the afternoon. William Peace fell to Brevard by a final score of 16-9.
