Cary, NC -- The William Peace University Softball team finished with a win against Hood College in game one (2-0) and lost in game two against Roanoke College (8-4), in the Triangle Softball Classic on Sunday, February 25. The Pacers now hold an overall record of (3-5).
Game One
Nadia Blevins started game one with a walk. On the first pitch of the next batter she stole her first base of the day. Blevins shares the second place position with Pacer alums, Niki Dobbins and Anna Weavil. After a Jordan Magnum walk and an Alexa Nemeth single, Kristina Mojica worked a walk with the bases loaded to score Blevins. Kacy Haithcock came to the plate and drove home another run. This would be the only two runs scored in the game. Kelsey Durham was on the mound for the Pacers and pitched the complete game. Giving up no runs, Durham only gave up one hit on the entire day. With that great performance Kelsey Durham gets her first win of the season.

The bases became loaded and Lauren Conway hit a sac fly to score Oates. In the bottom of the 7th inning the Pacers were able to score another run. Jordan Magnum singled to start the inning, Kristina Mojica walked, and Kacy Heithcock singled to load the bases. Heather McLean singled to left and the Pacers scored their final run of the inning.
