Women's Soccer Drops Conference Road Game

Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The William Peace University women's soccer team faced Methodist University on Saturday, September 30th, 2017. The conference game, held in Fayetteville, NC, proved to be a tough offensive match-up for the WPU Pacers, who fell 7-0 to the Methodist Monarchs. The Pacers are now (1-5) on the season and (0-1) in the conference.

The Monarchs would take an early lead over the Pacers with a goal from Sara Snotherly at the 9 minute mark. Methodist would command the offensive side of the game, scoring 3 goals in 4 minutes to take a 4-0 lead over WPU. In the second half, Methodist's Anna Voigt would score a quick goal to increase the Monarch's lead 5-0, while Piper Wells would add a goal at the 54 minute mark. Methodist would add one more near the end of the second half for a final score of 7-0.

The Pacers will look to bounce back tomorrow in another conference match-up, this time against Salem College. The game will take place at 1:00 p.m. in Winston-Salem, NC. Salem is currently (8-2) on the season and (2-0) in the conference.
