Women's Soccer Prepares for Monarchs

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The William Peace University women's soccer team is back in action this Saturday, September 30th as they face Methodist University at 1:00 p.m. The USA South conference matchup will be played in Fayetteville, NC at the Monarch Soccerplex.

The Pacers are coming off of a disappointing overtime loss against the LaGrange Panthers in which neither team got on the board in the first 90 minutes of regular play. WPU heads into the weekend with a record of (1-4) on the season. The Monarchs are currently (1-7) on the season and (0-1) in conference after falling to Salem College earlier in the week.

Junior, Capri Clark currently leads Methodist with 5 goals and 16 shots on goal, while Senior Jasmine Newman is not far behind her with 2 goals and 10 shots on goal. The Pacers will have to continue with their strong defensive play to hold the Monarch offense.
