Hard Fight from Pacers in Final Game of the Season

Box Score

FERRUM, VA -- The WPU women's soccer team battled hard against Ferrum College on Saturday afternoon, however, their efforts would leave them trailing the Panthers 0-2 in their final game of the season.

The first half began with the Panthers jumping on the board quick with a goal within the first six minutes of play. The Pacers defense worked hard to eliminate scoring opportunities for the Panthers as they managed to force Ferrum to take fewer shots in the second half in comparison to the first. With just ten minutes left to play, Ferrum's Catelyn Gamble would score the Panthers second goal of the day which would seal the fate for the Pacers. Kaylea Eubanks had 13 saves in net for the Pacers.

The Pacers wrap up their season (1-13) overall and (0-7) in conference play. The WPU women's soccer team will not be competing in the conference tournament this season.
