Box Score
CHARLOTTE, NC- The Pacers traveled to Charlotte, NC to face Johnson and Wales University in a tough game of soccer on Sunday afternoon. The Pacers lost the game 0-4, but fought every second for the ball. The women's soccer program drops to (1-11) overall on the season.
Taking advantage of any possession opportunities, the Pacers were high on the attack. In the first half the Pacers had 5 shots and JWU had 6 with one hitting the back of the net. The Pacers were able to keep the score 0-1 in the first half.
Due to the lack of subs the Pacers seemed to get winded towards the end of the game, which lead to the other team notching three more goals in the second half.
Although JWU had some good breakaways, which gave them the scoring opportunities, the Pacers were strong on the field and prevented the JWU attack on many occasions. Although they were down the Pacers kept on the attack with high spirits.
The Pacers will be home at WakeMed Soccer Park on October 18 for their next game against conference opponent, North Carolina Wesleyan College at 7:00 p.m. The Battling Bishops are (2-9-1) overall and (2-3) in conference play.
