Women's Soccer Falls to Cougars

DANVILLE,VA -- The William Peace University women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Averett University on Saturday, October 14 in a USA South conference match-up. The Pacers drop to (1-10) overall and (0-5) in the conference.

The Cougars would get on the board first at the seven minute mark with a goal by Amanda Gustavsson. Just nine seconds into the second half, Averett's Emily Meador would score her 2nd goal of the season to give the Cougars a 2-0 lead. Finally, Eimear Reddin would score in the 90th minute to give Averett a 3-0 win over WPU.

Pacer goalkeeper Kaylea Eubanks had a strong performance, totaling 12 saves and keeping WPU in the game.

The Pacers will be back in action tomorrow as they travel to Charlotte, NC to play Johnson & Wales University at 3:00 p.m. JWU currently holds a (6-3) overall record.
