Women's Soccer Blanked at Greensboro

GREENSBORO, NC – The William Peace University women's soccer team traveled to Greensboro College Wednesday afternoon, where the Pacers (3-12-1, 2-8-0 USAS) fell by a final score of 4-0.

Caitlyn Cook struck first for the Pride (9-3-2, 5-3-2 USAS), collecting the rebound off Anna Rae Porcelli's shot and putting it away in the seventh minute. Mercedes Fisher made it 2-0 with the help of Gabbriele Edinger in the 36th. Lauren Greeson found Edinger in the 57th to make it 3-0, and then Porcelli added one more shortly after to put things out of reach.

The WPU women's soccer team is back on the road for two more USA South matches this weekend. The Pacers travel to Meredith on Saturday followed by a trip to Averett on Sunday. Both games are slated for 1:00 p.m. kickoffs.
