LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, GA – After picking up a 3-1 win the day prior, the William Peace women's soccer team didn't fare as well today against the Scots of Covenant College losing, 7-0.
The Scots (9-8-1, 7-3 USAS) scored four in the first half with two of them coming from Bethany Logan in the 13th and 18th minutes. Both of Logan's goals were assisted by Anna Porch. Ruth Terry also scored in the 17th while Jessica Rowe made it a 4-0 game with an unassisted goal in the 38th.
WPU (4-13-1, 2-9 USAS) allowed three more in the second half, two of which were scored by Rachel Bernard. Bernard scored an unassisted goal in the 48th and scored again 10 minutes later with the help of Terry. Goalkeeper Lucy Johnson made it 7-0 netting a penalty kick in the 87th minute.
The Pacers women's soccer team will take the pitch for one final match this year traveling to take on Averett University Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 7:00 p.m.
